Ini dia lomba berbahasa inggris yg diselenggarak oleh SMA N 2 YOGYAKARTA. belajar bahasa inggris kurang seru kalok cuman nulis doang. dengan gerakan dong biar lebih asyik apalagi kita bisa unjuk kebolehan di setiap lomba dalam ECHA 2014. ayok buruan daftar dan raih hadiahnya!!! :)

Theme : “Explore Our Nations”
Sub theme:
1. Visit indonesia 2014
2. Indonesian;s song
3. Current culture of Indonesia
Prizes:
First Place : Trophy, certificate, and Rp 500.000,00
Second Place : Trophy, certificate, and Rp 300.000,00
Third Place : Trophy, certificate, and Rp 200.000.00
Contest Requirements:
1. Participants are Junior High School Students, grade 7-9, that is representative of their respective schools.
2. Each school may submit two of their students as participants.
3. Each participant must pay Rp 50.000,00 for the registration fee.
4. All participants must attend the Technical Meeting that will be held on:
Day, date : Thursday, 17th April, 2014
Time : 14.30 - end
Place : SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta
5. Technical meeting will discuss the technical and competition rules. Drawing lottery and submitting speech texts will be done at Technical Meeting. For participants who do not attend, must agree with all the rules that have been set by the committee.
6. Registration will be closed at Technical Meeting.
7. Each participant must choose one of the three sub themes that have been provided.
8. The speech contest will be held for two rounds. If the number of participants doesn’t meet the minimum quota, speech contest will be held for one round.
9. Each participant needs to make one speech text only.
10. No SARA allowed.
11. Each participant is given 7 minutes maximum to present their speech.
12. There are only 2 minutes that can be used overly and tolerated (8-9 minute).
13. For one minute tolerated will have 5 points deduction from the total score.
14. In the 3rd, 6th, and 7th minutes, participant will be warned by the supervisor:
a. 3rd minute : one knock
b. 6th minute : two knocks
c. 7th minute : continuous knocks
15. The companion is allowed to accompany the participant when they are delivering a speech, as long it is not disturbing the contest.
16. The judge’s decision cannot be disturbed.

Peraturan Debat ECHA SMADA 2014
SMA N 2 YOGYAKARTA
“EXPLORE OUR NATIONS”
Umum
a) Setiap SMA maksimal mengirimkan dua Tim yang beranggotakan tiga orang.
b) Setiap anggota Tim masih berstatuskan sebagai siswa SMA yang bersangkutan.
c) Setiap sesi preliminary terdiri dari 2 tim yang berbeda yang akan berperan sebagai pro dan kontra.
Peserta
a) Peserta adalah siswa SMA dari Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta
b) Setiap tim terdiri dari 3 (tiga) orang yang berstatus sebagai siswa SMA dan 1 (satu) orang guru pembimbing/Official.
c) Para pembimbing tidak terlibat secara langsung selama lomba debat berjalan.
d) Peserta mengikuti Technical Meeting
e) Apabila salah satu peserta dalam tim tidak hadir pada hari perlombaan maka tim akan di diskualifikasi.
f) Peserta harus mentaati tata tertib yang telah ditentukan panitia selama mengikuti lomba.
g) Setiap peserta wajib saling menghormati dan menjaga ketertiban dalam ruangan lomba.
Sistematika Pertandingan
a) Seluruh peserta dibagi, agar berhadapan satu sama lain berdasarkan panitia melalui pengundian.
b) Setiap tim dalam masing-masing ruang akan berhadapan satu sama lain.
c) Setiap tim akan mengikuti 3 prelimanary round.
d) Empat tim teratas (yang lolos ke babak selanjutnya) akan masuk dalam babak semifinal.
e) Para pemenang babak semi final (2 tim) akan maju dan bertemu di babak final
Sistematika debat
a) Panitia menggunakan aturan lomba sesuai dengan Asian Parliamentary
b) Tim Affirmative/Negative ditentukan oleh panitia.
c) Terdapat prepared motion dan impromptu motion. Prepared motion akan disampaikan pada TM
d) Masing-masing tim diperbolehkan membawa catatan tulis tangan pada saat debate namun penggunaan electronical device tidak diperbolehkan.
e) Untuk case build masing-masing tim diberi waktu 30 menit.
f) Tanda waktu debate dimulai adalah ketukan pertama untuk memulai, dua kali ketukan untuk tanda waktu masih 1 menit dan ketukan terus menerus untuk menunjukkan bahwa waktu telah selesai.
g) Setiap pembicara kecuali reply speaker memiliki waktu 7 menit 20 detik untuk menyampaikan argumen masing-masing.Jika terdapat pembicara yang melebihi batas waktu tersebut chairperson memiliki hak untuk menghentikan pembicara.
h) POIdapat dilakukan sejak menit pertama yang ditandai dengan satu ketukan oleh timekeeper
i) POI tidak boleh dilakukan mulai pada menit keenam yang ditandai dengan dua ketukan oleh timekeeper
j) Dalam POI yang berhak menerima atau menolak adalah pembicara
k) POI dilakukan paling lama 10 detik, jika melampaui batas waktu tersebut Chairperson berhak untuk menghentikan. Dalam hal menjawab POI dapat dilakukan oleh pembicara atau rekan satu tim pembicara yang bersangkutan.
l) Reply diawali oleh tim kontra.Tidak diperkenankan melakukan interupsi pada reply speaker, reply speaker memiliki waktu 5 menit 20 detik.
m) Masing-masing tim dapat meminta verbal adjudication pada juri.
n) Keputusan Juri tidak bisa diganggu gugat.
Juri dan Penilaian
a) Penilaian debat dilakukan oleh Juri yang telah ditentukan oleh panitia.
b) Juri dalam setiap lomba debat pada babak penyisihan dan semifinal terdiri dari 3 (tiga) orang yang dipilih Panitia.
c) Juri dalam setiap lomba debat pada babak final terdiri dari 5 (lima) orang yang dipilih Panitia.
d) Juri bersifat objektif dan independen.
e) Juri bukan merupakan pembimbing dari salah satu kelompok peserta.
f) Panitia akan menetapkan kriteria penilaian untuk penjurian dan pemberian nilai pada setiap kriteria tersebut adalah kewenangan penuh masing-masing juri.
g) Juri setiap ruang akan berjumlah ganjil.
h) Penilaian terdiri dari :
a. Penguasaan materi (Matter)
b. Manner (etika)
c. Method (strategi)
Technical Meeting
TM akan di selenggarakan pada Kamis, 17 April 2014 di SMA N 2 Yogyakarta. Karena pentingnya TM, maka semua peserta debat diharapkan hadir dan mengikuti acara TM.
Registrasi
Pendaftaran dibuka pada Selasa, 1 April 2014dengan biaya pendaftaran sebesar Rp. 200.000,00
HADIAH
a) Juara I memperoleh uang sebesar Rp. 1.000.000,00
b) Juara II memperoleh uang sebesar Rp. 750.000,00
c) Best Speaker memperoleh uang sebesar Rp. 250.000,00

SPELLING BEE RULES
A. Requirements
1. Participants are Junior High School Students, grade 7-9, that is representative of their respective schools.
2. Maximum quota of spellers is 30. Each school could submit 2 of their students as main participants. If there are more than 2 representatives, they will submit into waiting list participant.
3. All spellers must attend the Technical Meeting that will be held on:
Day, date : Thursday, 17th April 2014
Time : 14.30 - end
Place : SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta
Technical meeting will discuss the technical and competition rules. For participants who do not attend, must agree with all the rules that have been set by the committee.
4. Registration will be closed at Technical Meeting
B. Terms of Registration
1. Registration form can be taken at SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta
2. Fill out the registration form and submit at the time of registration
3. Submit photographs as much as 2 pieces 3x4 (1 for in paste form, one submitted to the committee) and a copy of student identity card at the time of registration.
4. Pay a registration fee of Rp 50.000, 00
C. Technical and Competition Rules
1. Participants must re-register before opening ceremony begins.
2. Participants who did not attend after being called 3 times, will be disqualified.
3. There are 2 rounds in competition; Elimination Round and Final Battle.
4. The announcement of the winners will be announced on that day, but the distribution of prizes and certificates will be held in SMADA English Performance.
5. Decision of the judges cannot be contested.
6. Participants are not allowed to bring a dictionary or any device that aims to prepare the spelling of the word after re-registration.
- Elimination Round
1. Spellers are divided into 3 groups.
2. Each speller will occupy seat according to the serial number given in technical meeting.
3. The spellers shall be conducted in rounds. Each speller remaining in the spelling bee at the start of a round shall spell one word in the round. Spelling started by serial number.
4. After the pronouncer gives the speller a word, the speller should pronounce the word before and after spelling the word.
5. The speller may ask the pronouncer to say the word again, define it, and/or use it in a sentence. The pronouncer shall grant all such requests until the judges agree that the word has been made reasonably clear to the speller.
6. If a word has one or more homonyms, the pronouncer will indicate which word is to be spelled by define it.
7. Speller will be eliminated if:
a) Misspells the word given.
b) In the process of retracing a spelling, alters the letters or sequence of letters from those first uttered.
c) Refuses a request from judges to start spelling.
8. There will be 3 spellers from each group who continues to the Final Battle.
- Final Battle
1. There are 9 spellers in Final Battle.
2. The rules are same as Elimination Round.
3. There will be 3 winners.
